For this portfolio project, you will examine pictures, which are primary documents, that show the immigrant experience. You will analyze these pictures & create a presentation in which you answer the question:
​How did immigration affect immigrants and other Americans around the year 1900?

Step 1: Find 4 Pictures to Examine

Select 4 pictures that represent a firsthand perspective of immigrants as they arrived at Ellis Island, in the New York Harbor.

Save a copy of the picture you choose.

Identify a date associated with each picture.

1-2 sentence summary describing how this image represents the immigrant experience.
