Your portfolio for this unit is to select a political, social, or environmental issue about which you feel strongly and develop a plan of action.

Step 1: Selection

Here are some of the important issues in Utah & the United States at this time: 

• poverty's effects on children and teens 

• bullying

• air pollution 

• water pollution 

• Littering

• Dog feces not cleaned up by owner

• violence 

• poor nutrition in children and teens 

• animal cruelty 

• child abuse

Step 2 – Development

After you choose the issue you would like to spotlight, you will need a plan of action. Click on the link below to access the Utah Social Action Plan worksheet. Use this worksheet to expand your plan of action.
